Men in Toronto: My Male Characters...

Whether they live in the westend, the east, downtown or north of the city...the 905ers, the original Scarborough 'mandem' , immigrants or Canadian-born...the street hustling rudebwoys to the educated call centre workers...they have been leaving their unique stamp on the city of Toronto 'from time'.

The male characters in my Urban Toronto Tales novel collection represent a cross-section of brothers that can be found across the city.

01) "Ryan" is a good boy. Very studious throughout high school, completed university, bought his own car and condo, and managed to still enjoy the city's party scene without neglecting his books or career. Ryan doesn't have too many bredrens, but always has a serious girlfriend and is loyal to her. But sometimes he is too serious, too by-the-book, and doesn't know how to lighten up and let things flow...

02) "Kirk" - is a proud thug with the clothes, the car, and the cash flow to prove it. Everyone knows his face, his reputation, and he feels like he's on top of the world. A notorious gunman that gets respected and envied by everyone in his circle; Kirk dates the hottest women and is convinced that he'll be unstoppable forever...

03) "Karl" is a playboy. He spends his days at the gym and his nights at the club. He's a promoter: he knows everyone and everyone knows him. Good looking, a smooth talker, charming and driven, Karl is convinced that he has life all figured out and expects nothing less than the admiration of everyone who crosses his path...

04) "Gavin" is a humble superstar. He works hard, he has money, respect and ambition, but he is careful not to flaunt it. Gavin is talented and successful, polite and cautious, but at his core he is still searching for more in life than he has already been given. Despite his possessions and achievements, he is still looking for the right woman who will understand him...

05) "Mike" is a businses man. Educated, hardworking and dedicated. He's married, he's got a nice car, big house, and a baby on the way. He's all about money and creating a life for his family that looks good and has real value.

You can read about Ryan, Kirk or Mike in VIDEO LIGHT, and Karl or Gavin in REQUEST TO REWIND. For more info visit www.staceymarierobinson.com/books.html.
